Privacy Policy

Information you provide

When you place an order, create an account, request support, or submit vehicle information, TuneFreak may collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, billing or shipping address, vehicle details, VIN, selected products, build information, and any notes or documents you choose to submit. An account may allow you to save contact details, vehicles and builds, and view information associated with your orders. Please do not provide personal information that is not necessary for your request.

Google Sign-In

TuneFreak offers Google Sign-In as an optional way to create or access your TuneFreak account. When you choose to sign in with Google, TuneFreak requests only the following basic Google account information: your Google account identifier; your email address; and your basic profile information, such as your name and profile picture. TuneFreak uses this information only to authenticate you, identify or create your TuneFreak account, associate your account with the correct email address, and provide account-related features. TuneFreak does not request access through Google Sign-In to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts, calendar, payment information, passwords, or other Google services. Google Sign-In information is not sold or used for advertising by TuneFreak. It may be stored as part of your TuneFreak account for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the account and related services. You may also manage TuneFreak's access to your Google account through your Google Account settings. Revoking Google access does not necessarily delete information already stored in your TuneFreak account. You may request deletion of your TuneFreak account or associated personal information as described below.

Google API Services User Data

TuneFreak's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data obtained through Google Sign-In is used only to provide and improve user-facing authentication and account features. TuneFreak does not use Google user data for advertising, does not sell Google user data, and does not allow humans to read Google user data except when necessary for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or with the user's affirmative agreement for specific data. TuneFreak only requests the minimum Google account information necessary for authentication: your Google account identifier, email address, name, and profile picture. This information may be stored with your TuneFreak account so that you can remain identified as the same customer when you sign in again.

How your information is used

TuneFreak uses personal information as reasonably necessary to: create, authenticate and manage customer accounts; check vehicle applications and product compatibility; process and maintain orders; arrange product delivery or shipping; assign tuning software or TuneZilla credits to the appropriate customer or vehicle; provide customer support and respond to requests; maintain transaction and order records; prevent misuse, fraud or unauthorized account access; and operate and improve the TuneFreak website and customer experience. TuneFreak does not sell your personal information.

Payments

Payments are processed through Stripe. TuneFreak may receive information about the status and details of a transaction that is necessary to associate a payment with your order. Payment card processing is handled by Stripe. TuneFreak does not use Google Sign-In to obtain your payment card information. Stripe processes information according to its own privacy practices.

Suppliers, fulfillment and service providers

TuneFreak may share information with service providers only when reasonably necessary to provide the product or service you requested. For example, relevant contact, delivery, order, vehicle, email address or VIN information may be provided to suppliers, fulfillment providers, shipping carriers, or TuneZilla when necessary to fulfill an order, deliver a product, verify an application, or assign tuning credits. These third parties may process information according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations. TuneFreak does not sell Google user information or other customer personal information to these parties. The same limits apply to information obtained through Google Sign-In: TuneFreak does not sell or disclose Google user data for advertising, marketing, data brokerage, or unrelated purposes. Information such as an email address may be shared with a supplier or service provider only when reasonably necessary to provide a service or fulfill an order specifically requested by the customer. Google user data is not otherwise transferred to Stripe, TuneZilla, suppliers, or shipping carriers merely because the customer used Google Sign-In.

Saved builds, cookies and browser storage

TuneFreak may use cookies, browser storage, or similar technologies to maintain your sign-in session and remember information such as your cart, build selections, and currency preferences. Clearing browser data may remove locally stored selections or sign you out. Information saved to your TuneFreak account and recorded order information may be stored separately from your browser's local storage.

Data retention and security

TuneFreak retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide requested services, maintain accounts and order records, resolve support matters, prevent fraud, and meet applicable legal or recordkeeping requirements. TuneFreak uses HTTPS/TLS to protect information transmitted between users and the website, and authenticated, access-controlled systems to restrict access to stored account information. Access to personal information is limited to systems and persons that reasonably require it to operate, secure, support, or fulfill the service. However, no internet-based service or electronic storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and deletion requests

You may update certain saved information through your TuneFreak account. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your TuneFreak account by contacting TuneFreak through the Support page. When a valid deletion request is received, TuneFreak will delete or anonymize information that is no longer reasonably required, subject to information that must be retained for legitimate transaction, fraud-prevention, dispute, tax, accounting, or other applicable legal purposes. Removing TuneFreak from your Google Account permissions prevents future Google authorization but does not automatically delete your TuneFreak account. A separate deletion request may therefore be required.

Children's privacy

TuneFreak's services are not directed to children, and TuneFreak does not knowingly collect personal information from children through Google Sign-In.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as TuneFreak's website, services, integrations, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top identifies the current version.
